Hi Resin Crafters! This is Kelli, from the Craft Shack popping in again today to share a super fun summer style resin craft. Very few things say summer more to me than the beach. These fun seas pendants are simple to , and you can your own custom silicone mold to reuse over and over again. It’s simple to do! First, you’ll need to the seas molds. Start by taking equal parts of the two silicone putty components. Mix part A with part B and knead until there is no more visible white. Once it’s mixed, you only have 3 minutes to work, so you’ll need to work quickly. Next, lets our Seas Pendants! Mix your epoxy to cast in the molds. Mix equal parts of the Resin and the Hardener. Stir for 2 minutes. Pour mixture into a clean cup, and stir for an additional minute. Be sure to always wear gloves and eye protection when handling Epoxy. Once your epoxy is mixed you can tint or dye it to whatever colors you want to the ss. Or you could just use the pretty transparent seass for decoration. They would look pretty with a sea foam green colored dye, like sea gl seass! I love that the red and blue resin mixed when I poured them into the molds to create a pretty purple ombre effect. What color would you your seass? Take your mixed putty, and form it around the seas, leaving an opening in the putty where the seas opening is also. Squish it onto the seas real good to give your seas pendants great definition. Before your three minutes is up, be sure to press the mold onto the table to form a flat side so that your mold doesn’t tip and fall while you’re filling it later. If you don’t get a flat side on your mold (I didn’t on some of mine!) don’t worry, you can prop the mold up ok without it. It’s just simpler with the flat end. Allow the mold to cure for at least 25 minutes. When it feels firm and dry, you can bend it carefully and pull your seas out. Don’t use too much force, or it will tear.

1. Use a plastic file holder to protect your table. Put a generous amount of baby powder on it and add a little silicone on top. Be careful to put the silicone only on a powdered area. Otherwise it will stick to it. 3. Begin to mix the silicone and the powder gently. Try to flip it around and cover all sides constantly with powder. Add new powder as you go. Continue like that, until the mixture is starting to feel a bit “stear”. You’ll know what I mean by that. 4. a disc-like shape that should be big enough to press your object into. Place your silicone on a plate or pice of gl. I an old tile. Smooth out the surface with your fingers and a little powder. 6. Place your object on the silicone disc and apply gentle pressure. Just try to distribute the pressure evenly, until it sits firmly in the silicone. Now the silicone should be left to dry (with the object) for a day or two. It really depends on the thickness of your disc and the brand of silicone you . Some silicone will dry completely in an hour. Mine took a lot longer to dry. Even if its dry on the outside, it can still be soft on the inside. Just be safe and wait a little longer, or second “test mold”.
